Church & Community

Spiritual and Social Activities are groups of people gathered around a shared passion with the intention of using that passion to relate to people for Jesus.

Church Community Activities take many different forms. Some of our groups include:

Breakfast@Ray’s Place

• A monthly breakfast for men shared in Ray and Brigitte’s McDonald’s home including a speaker, Q & A session and prayer together. ‘The best porridge and muesli in the Valley’
• We meet the First Saturday in each month at 8am at 40 Benwerren Drive, Yarra Junction

Womens Group

• An informal activity run by the women in the Church.
• Activities vary from outings and presentations on various subjects of interest
• Meeting the Fourth Thursday in each month in the Church 10:00am

Second Bite & Coffee Morning

•  The Church is open for coffee and a chat from 10am to 12noon each Friday. Vegetables and fruit are distributed to those who need to supplement their own food provisions.
• The Pastor and members of the Church are available for encouragement and personal support.
• Every second week the Yarra Ranges Mobile Library provided a lending service based from the Church during this time
• This program runs every Friday during the year from 10am to 12 noon.

Practical Support

• Food parcels, Christmas hampers, transport, crisis support, budget help and referrals and practical support are available accessing LinC services at Yarra Junction.
• LinC is a non for-profit service meeting practical needs on behalf of the Churches in the Yarra Valley.
• LinC is available at the Family Centre 2442-2444 Warburton Highway, Yarra Junction

Monday Night Trivia

• In conjunction with MRAG (Millgrove Residents Action Group) we run a Trivia Night, including a light meal, which is open to local residents.
• The cost is $10 per person, children 14 and under are admitted free.
• Trivia is held at the Church every Fourth Monday in the month, 6:30pm to 9pm.
